Sri Lanka Fund
Calamander Capital's Sri Lanka Fund is the first dedicated offshore private equity fund to invest exclusively in the country. Calamander has over a decade of Sri Lankan investment experience, and its principals have close links with the country. The Groups' legacy/proprietary interests include agri-business and real estate, and investments under development in hotels and marine services. The Fund, and its deal flow, has been incubated since early 2006, providing an exceedingly strong pipeline of deals in a country with limited deal flow. The fund manager conducts its own macroeconomic research and believes that Sri Lanka, historically already one of the fastest growing emerging economies in the world, is poised for an extended period of supernormal (8% plus) growth following the end of hostilities in the country, and provides India like growth opportunities at deeply discounted prices. Our minimum target IRR is 30% p.a.
